1. Register an account with Divvit

Create your Divvit account by following these steps:

2. Install the Divvit script

The second step after registering, is to install your Divvit script to start collecting valuable data. Click here for our installation guides. Please note, that in all stages of your setup, you will need your frontend-ID. You can find it by navigating to https://app.divvit.com/account/sites, then simple copy and paste it in to the correct place, which differs depending on what platform you have.

If you want us to help you with the installation of Divvit, send us an email at support@divvit.com

3. Set up site structure

Of all the people who visits your site, some of them will drop off at different stages.

We think it is important to know where they leave you. Is it a the landing page, a product page or maybe even in the checkout? (It's true, a lot of people leave you just before they are about to purchase).

In order to get this set up, sign in to Divvit and navigate to your site structure in your settings. Here you  will have to enter the path to your checkout.

For example: https://www.yourdomain.com/checkout

You only need to enter the part that comes after your regular URL. In this case you will then take "/checkout" and paste into "Add new mapping". Then you save and it's ready!

4. Tag and map your traffic correctly

In order for Divvit to work as expected, you will have to tag and map your traffic. We have a couple of different ways of doing this, as explained below.

Different ways to tag your traffic:

  • Via Divvit tagging

When a visit comes to your site, we look at where it came from in the following order:

  • Are Divvit parameters available?
  • Are UTM parameters available?
  • Are there any referers?

When the answer is yes, then that method is used and we will not move on to the others. Should the answer be no to all three - then the visit ends as "Direct".

If you have a lot of traffic from "Direct" this could mean that traffic is not tagged properly.

You will not have to change any of your existing UTM tags to be compatible with Divvit.

Divvit tagging

There are two parameters you can add to your URL. Those are dv_chgroup and dv_channel

All available channel groups and channels can be found here

If we don't recognize your tagging, we will tag it with "Unknown" in Divvit. All you have to do, is navigate to app.divvit.com/settings/unmapped and click the parameter, and then choose your channel group and channel on the right hand side.

5. Connect your marketing channels

Connect your existing marketing channels to Divvit, to get an easy overview of how much you spend on marketing, and how much you get back. It will also show you how much each visit costs, and how much you pay for each order coming through that channel.
